Alasande (White Lobia) Curry


Vegetables, vegetables!!! are you bored of eating and cutting the same vegetables, then I am preparing a curry with beans Alasande (white Lobia). This can be relished with chapathi, roti and even with rice too. Its very easy to cook so prepare and  taste it, I am sure you will like this.

Preparation time: 15mins
Cooking time: 20mins
Serves: 6

Ingredients:
250gm Alasande (White Lobia) 
2 Tomatoes
2 Potatoes
1 big Capsicum
1cup grated Coconut
2tsp Sambar powder
1tsp vegetable oil
1tsp Mustard seeds
1tsp Poppy seeds (Gasa gase)
3tsp Coriander leaves 
10 Curry leaves
Salt
Water

Procedure:
 1.      Wash Alasande in water, soak for 6 hours overnight later strain and keep aside.
2.      Chop potatoes, 1 tomato and capsicum in to big cubes.
3.      Grind coconut, sambar powder, coriander leaves, 1 tomato and slightly fried poppy seeds.
4.    Cook Alasande, potato cubes with required amount of water in pressure cooker, close the cooker lid and wait for 2 pressures. keep cooker aside to cool.
5.    Put a pan on stove, add oil for seasoning, later mustard seeds, as its splutters add the ground paste and curry leaves, fry for 5 mins.
6.    Add the cooker contents followed by salt, chopped capsicum and tomato.
7.      Let it boil for 15 mins. 
8.      Alasande Curry is ready to serve.
