Green Peas Rice


Are you in Hurry!!!! But still you need to prepare breakfast, don’t worry here is a receipe for you if you have green peas at home, it will be prepared in short time and not compromises with taste.

Ingredients:
1 cup fresh Green peas or frozen baby peas
1 cup chopped onions
2 cups basmati or other long-grain white Rice
5 Green chillies – split into 2 pieces
1 tsp Bengal Gram Dal
1 tsp Black Gram Dal
3 tsp vegetable oil
½  tsp Mustard seeds
10 Curry leaves
½  cup grated fresh Coconut
3 tsp coarsely chopped Coriander leaves
Salt

Procedure:
  1. Clean the rice in water and keep it aside.
  2. Switch on the stove and put cooker to heat up.
  3. Put oil then mustard seeds once it started splitting add bengal  gram, black gram, onion and sauté till it turns golden brown.
  4. Now add green chillies and curry leaves to avoid sprinkling.
  5. Add Green peas to it and sauté.
  6. Pour 4 cups of water to it and add required amount of salt.
  7. Add  rice, coconut and coriander leaves.
  8. Close the cooker and wait for 2-3 pressures.
  9. After that switch off stove and let the cooker cool.
  10. Open the lid and the dish is ready to serve.
