Serves: 8
Ingredients:
1 cup fresh Green peas or frozen baby peas
4 Potatoes
2 tomatoes
½ cup grated Coconut
½ cup Cashew
½ cup sweet Curds
5 Green chillies
2tsp chopped Ginger
3tsp unsalted Butter or Ghee
1tsp Fennel seeds
1tsp Garam masala powder
½ tsp turmeric powder
½ tsp pepper seeds
½ tsp Sugar
4tsp coarsely chopped Coriander leaves
Salt
Water
Procedure:
1. Cook the potatoes in cooker later peel the skin and cut into cubes.
2. Boil the Green peas, using strainer remove water and keep peas aside.
3. Grind Coconut, cashew, 2tsp coriander leaves, turmeric powder, pepper, green chillies, ginger and tomatoes, make a fine paste.
4. Keep a pan to heat, add Butter or ghee followed by fennel seeds and sauté.
5. Add the grinded paste and fry till it turns brown.
6. Now add salt, red chilly and garam masala powder (Add little water if the gravy is very thick) and fry for a minute.
7. Later add the potatoes and green peas and close the pan lid for 5 mins.
8. Garnish with 2tsp of coriander leaves.
9. Aloo Mutter Masala is ready to serve with roti and chapathi.
