Aloo Paratha


Eating same chapathis rotti as usual so here I prepared little different with stuffing potatoes filling and made Aloo Paratha. You also try it out its quite easy to prepare.

Preparation time: 20mins
Cooking time: 15miins
Number of medium sized Parathas: 8

Ingredients:
2 ½ cups wheat flour
½ cup finely chopped Coriander leaves
¼ cup finely chopped Curry leaves
4 big potatoes
2 tsp Green chilli paste
½ tsp Mustard seeds
¼ tsp Turmeric powder
1 tsp Jeera powder
Vegetable Oil or Ghee
Salt
Water

Procedure:

1.     Take a bowl, add wheat flour, salt and 2tsp of oil or ghee, mix well add required amount of water, knead it and make soft dough, cover a wet cloth and keep aside.
2.     Cook the potatoes in pressure cooker, as it cools peel the skin, mash the potatoes and keep aside.
3.     Keep a frying pan to heat, add 2tsp oil followed mustard seeds as it splutters add green chilli paste and sauté.
4.     Then add mashed potatoes, jeera powder, turmeric powder, coriander leaves, curry leaves and salt, mix well and keep it aside and let it cool.
5.     After cooling make the filling into equal sized balls and keep aside.
6.     Make the prepared dough in to equal sized balls and stuff filling in to each of the rolled dough balls.
7.     Roll it as small chapathi and put it on a heated tava to cook.
8.     Put ghee or oil over it and cook on both the sides.
9.     Hot hot Aloo Paratha is ready to serve.
